Genuine Ka-Bar USMC Combat Knife
Ka-Bar is the manufacturer of the original knife used by the U.S. Marine Corp and the U.S. Navy during World War II. Originally when this Ka-Bar knife was designed in 1898 is was designed as a hunting knife. Even though it was an old design, it proved to be more durable than the knife that the troops had been using, especially during trench warfare.
Throughout it's history, Ka-Bar has been owned by a number of different companies and today it is owned by the parent company of Cutco, which are known for manufacturing superior quality kitchen knives.
Below are three versions of the same knife. One has flat edge, one a serrated edge and the other painted black, as many of todays military units paint them black to add another layer of protection.
